Maryland woman wins $150,000 lottery jackpot in the midst of slow work day

A woman from Maryland who was working at a grocery store and had a slow day decided to kill time by purchasing lottery tickets. She scratched off a $150,000 prize.

She bought some scratch-off tickets to pass the time since she was having a slow day at work at the Union Latina store, the woman told Maryland Lottery officials.

After trying her luck with a third ticket—a $150,000 Extreme ticket—the woman claimed the $150,000 top prize, despite the fact that her first two tickets had not won.
