Prior to the drawing on April 20, the woman purchased the $10 quick-pick winning ticket. She carried the ticket around in her purse until Monday, when she discovered it and used the Maryland Lottery app to scan it.
With yet another ticket scan, her mother verified the win.
She mentioned taking her daughter on a vacation with her winnings and that she would still occasionally purchase tickets.
