Maryland's House Approval Moves the State Towards Legalized iGaming

Maryland is moving closer to allowing online casinos after the House approved House Bill 1319.

The bill, championed by Rep. Vanessa Atterbeary, passed with a 92-43 vote. Now it heads to the Senate.

Atterbeary argues that legalizing iGaming could curb illegal gambling and protect consumers. However, some senators worry about job losses and addiction.
