Massachussets attorney general launches youth sports betting safety coalition

In light of this week's college basketball tournaments happening on both coasts of Massachusetts, the Attorney General has announced the formation of a public-private partnership aimed at raising awareness of the dangers associated with underage gambling and sports betting.

The Youth Sports Betting Safety Coalition will create an evidence-based education, training, and health curriculum targeted at individuals between the ages of 12 and 20 – roughly from middle school into college and up to the state's minimum sports betting and casino gambling age of 21 – in an effort to increase public awareness of the laws, risks, and health harms associated with gambling.

Underage gambling is definitely is significant risk for any community and their for the authorities always need to make sure that they are able to stop such activities that are harmful for the growth of a community and especially the young people that can become addicted so in this case the authority is always needed to be appreciated for their actions as they have done a good thing on their part for the society
