Is an open-ended straight draw really worth playing post flop in Omaha poker? While some consider open-ended straight draws to have high equity value, I have found from experience that they often fail to pan out, especially against multiple opponents. Sure, you have two cards to fill either end of the straight, but that also means you need to dodge cards on both ends that will kill your draw. Moreover, the bigger the pot is post flop with your big blind ante, the more you stand to lose with a busted straight draw. So I say proceed with caution when chasing open straight draws especially on wet multi-way flops. What has been your experience playing open straight draws post flop in Omaha? Have they been profitable, or more often cost you significant sums?
