This new gaming tax change-set to take effect from July 2023- will most notably impact the groups operation in Sydney .
The star Sydney made up half of the stars revenue in 2022,so tax changes will potentially raise an additional Au$364m (US$244.2m)in state tax over the next three years if implemented.
NSW treasurer Matt Kean noted that the money raised would be used to help fund vital sevice such as helping communities recover from the impact of various issues including covid-19,bushfire and flood.
 
I wonder if the third world are actually fully maximize the potential in gambling. If you look around, you see plethora of casinos doing well in African markets. Yet the taxex generated from these casinos are not better utilized for funding the vital community programs such as the above.
