Mecca Bingo's owner, The Rank Group, has returned to profitability thanks to profits that exceeded forecasts.
The London-listed company, whose main office is in Maidenhead, saw a 9% yearly increase in net gaming revenue to £734.4 million in the 12-month period ending June 30, 2024, from £671.4 million the previous year.
Pre-tax profits of £15.5 million were generated during that time, which contrasted with pre-tax losses of £123.3 million in the previous year.
