Along with its own branded hotel, Epic Tower, Melco Resorts & Entertainment has disclosed plans for a new all-weather indoor waterpark in Macau. The second phase of construction, which includes the new building at Studio City, is what supports Melco's commitment to the expansion and diversification of the local tourism industry, the business claims. The Epic Tower hotel and waterpark, which opened first in Melco's Studio City development, are scheduled to be followed by a second hotel, completing the operator's extension project. The government of Macau has advocated for the development of the area's non-gaming tourism attractions as it seeks to create alternate sources of income now that its VIP market is all but defunct.
