On the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, a brand-new hotel and gambling complex has opened under the auspices of Hong Kong tycoon Lawrence Ho's Asian casino firm Melco Resorts & Entertainment. The business is starting out in Europe. Melco Resorts invested more than $662 million in the integrated resort, which opened its doors formally on Monday. The resort's 500 guest rooms and suites are housed in a 14-story hotel in Limassol, which is located on the island's beautiful south coast. It also has a casino, a pool complex, upscale shops, restaurants, and a meeting space.
