The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has officially announced that Carl Brincat will finish his role as CEO in January 2024. This means they're looking for someone new to take his place. Brincat has been leading the Maltese authority since January 2021 after Heathcliff Farrugia.
Before becoming CEO, Brincat had important jobs in the MGA, such as Chief Legal and Enforcement Officer, Chief Legal Counsel, and Deputy General Counsel.
Brincat was involved in important changes to the Malta Gambling Law, focusing on things like making rules stronger for preventing money laundering, ensuring fair sports and making sure gambling companies act responsibly and take responsibility.
