MGM CEO foresees the United Arab Emirates approving four casinos

After long outlawing casino gaming, the United Arab Emirates may one day welcome up to four casino resorts.

The CEO of MGM recently stated that in the event that the UAE government approves of gaming, the company has reserved 150,000 square feet of space at the Dubai property for a casino.

There are signs that the United Arab Emirates is becoming more accepting of casino gaming and may eventually become the Arab world's center for integrated resorts.

The UAE must take a meticulous approach to examining the regulatory framework, implementing responsible gaming measures, and assessing the potential social consequences of introducing a casino industry. Finding a harmonious equilibrium between economic growth and responsible gambling is of paramount importance.
