MGM will be held to agreement in possible Springfield casino sale

MGM Resorts International is reportedly considering selling its regional casinos in Ohio and Springfield. This information first surfaced almost two months ago. Should a deal come together, Massachusetts city officials stated they plan to hold the gaming company accountable to the conditions of the host city agreement.

MGM has stated that the casinos in Ohio and Massachusetts have fallen short of its expectations, but it hasn't stated out loud that it is considering visiting those locations. During the operator's first-quarter earnings conference call earlier this month, the subject was not discussed.
