An inquest has determined that the Malvern man who died after being struck by a railway had chose to commit himself.
Michael Lawrence Martin battled a gambling addiction and owed different lending companies £70,000.
Friends and relatives referred to the 27-year-old as "Beans" and he passed away on June 24 after being struck by a train at the Jamaica Road crosswalk in Malvern.
On June 24, around 9.25 a.m., British Transport Security and West Mercia Policemen were summoned to the level crossing.
