Michigan gambling raids lead to $182,000 worth of gift cards

The Michigan Gaming Control Board revealed the raids on Monday after they took place on October 18. No arrests had been made in connection with the operations as of early this week.

After an unnamed informant alerted authorities to the machines in the bar and grill and possible illegal gambling, the raids took place.

Six slot-style video gaming devices, including four coin-fed Nudgemaster machines, were also seized. These machines occasionally award winners with gift cards or other intangible prizes. In addition, 11 computers and $6,306 in cash were recovered during the raid.
