Michigan Gaming Control Board records over $500million state tax revenue from casinos in 2024

According to the Michigan Gaming Control Board, 2024 was a record year for commercial and tribal gaming businesses. According to the Gambling Regulatory Authority Detroit's three brick-and-mortar casinos Retail and online sports betting, iGaming and fantasy sports generate more than half a billion dollars in revenue for the state. Michigan Gaming Control Board raised $501.4 million, mostly from Michigan, for the School Aid Fund, which supports K-12 public education
