Michigan man thought $257,631 lottery prize was a scam

For the sole reason that he believed it to be a scam, a Michigan man postponed taking possession of his $257,631 lottery winning for six months.

The man, 41, from Arenac County, claimed to Michigan Lottery officials that he was unaware that he was earning entries to the BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot through qualifying games at MichiganLottery.com. Consequently, he expressed suspicion upon receiving an email regarding a $257,631 prize in the drawing.
