Michigan sports bettors advised to oppose legislation to increase betting taxes

Leading operators in the U.S. market are taking notice of Michigan lawmakers' proposal to increase taxes on online casinos and sports betting.

According to FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM, they sent out emails to state users this week urging them to oppose the bill.

Customers in Michigan are urged by FanDuel's email to express their concerns about the tax increase by completing a form on the Sports Betting Alliance website. Along with Fanatics, FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM are all part of the Sports Betting Alliance.
