Minnesota legislative session ends without vote after chaotic day

After a tumultuous and protracted legislative session that concluded on Sunday, Minnesota did not consider legalizing sports betting. Minnesota was one of four US states that supporters thought had a genuine chance to legalize before the year 2024 arrived.

To try to get a vote on some issues, an omnibus bill was drafted over the weekend that included a number of important issues. Despite legislators' uncertainty, sports betting is not thought to be included in the bill.
