On Thursday, the Mississippi Gambling Commission approved the construction of South Beach Casino & Resort, a gaming facility. A land area of about four acres is the project's target. Russell Elliott of Bay St. Louis and Kirk D. Ladner of Diamondhead were each given a license. A 40K gambling floor with 1.1K slot machines, 25 table games, and 6 poker tables were approved for the South Beach Casino. This is supported by a notice of intent to apply for a gambling license that Ladner and Elliott legally required to be published in a local newspaper.
