On Wednesday, construction began on the upcoming casino in Mississippi. The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians' casino and hotel subsidiary, Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise, Inc., is the one behind the project. Yesterday, the first dirt was moved at the site of the future "Louisville Travel Plaza" by tribal officials. A family-friendly restaurant, a diesel truck stop and fueling station, a boutique casino, and other amenities will be produced by the 18,000 square foot, $25 million project. There will be 150 slot machines at the casino, along with sports betting.
