Missouri officially becomes 39th legal sports betting state

Missouri officially became the 39th state to allow gambling on college and professional sports. The announcement follows the 2024 sports betting ballot referendum's certification by state election officials.

It is legal to wager on sports in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Sports betting is available both online and in-person in all but Nebraska. Nebraska only allows bets to be placed in person. The only bordering states that still prohibit sports betting are Oklahoma and Missouri.
