we are going back to the well and backing Bradley to record 6+ strikeouts. I get why this one feels a little bit scary, as the Orioles just dinged up Rays ace pitcher Tyler Glasnow to the tune of 6 hits, 6 earned runs in only 4.1 innings pitched.
Here’s the thing, though: Glasnow still struck out 7 batters despite all those struggles. All we’re asking for is Bradley to get 6, and it’s unlikely that the Orioles have the same amount of success against back-to-back stud pitches in Tampa.
That last start from Bradley was filthy, too, as evidenced above. Overall, Bradley ranks in the 98th percentile of all pitchers with a K/inning of 1.47. If strikeout rate is your preferred stat, well, Bradley has you covered there as well, with an absurd strikeout rate of 34.1%.
Remember how I said above that to be top 30 you’d need to be above 25%? Well, Bradley is well above that, and his 34.1% number ranks second in the MLB of all pitchers that have pitched at least 40 innings. Only Spencer Strider is above him.
