Montenegro begins consultations to modernise gambling laws

The Ministry of Finance, which is responsible for updating the Law on Games of Chance, has promised that Montenegro will create a "new legal solution for gambling."

In order to discuss amendments and resolutions, the Ministry has started holding consultations with important parties, such as the "public, media, state authorities, local communities, and businesses."

In order to "create safe and responsible gambling environments, promote sustainable growth in the gaming industry free from financial crime, and address public health and social concerns associated with gambling," a new law is needed.

Montenegro’s Ministry of Finance is revising its gambling laws to ensure responsible gambling, sustainable industry growth, and protection against financial crimes. Consultations with stakeholders, including the public and industry leaders, aim to address social and health concerns related to gambling. This initiative seeks to create a safer regulatory framework for the gaming sector.

Such things are always needed for the progress of any sector and therefore the move is very well understood actually at this point and the community should appreciate and they should also try to offer their support as well where it is possible actually
