More Iowa state student-athletes bet on football games

In the state of Iowa, dominoes are falling one after another. State authorities charged four football players from Iowa State and three from the University of Iowa in a sports gambling investigation. For allegedly hiding their identity in online gambling operations, all seven student-athletes are accused of tampering with records. In Iowa, a misdemeanor conviction carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a fine between $855 and $8,540.
