Munincipal court upholds NagaWorld casino strike leader

Human rights organizations and others have begged for fair and impartial treatment, but Cambodia is not responding. It has upheld the convictions and jail terms for eight people connected to the NagaWorld casino's Labor Rights Supported Union of Khmer Employees.

The sentences were first imposed by a Municipal Court, and the defendants subsequently filed an appeal.

The NagaWorld strikes continue, largely in a peaceful manner as they have since begun. The casino claims to have had significant financial growth, but it refuses to bargain with the employees.
