National Association against iGaming links up with casino leaders to fight against online gambling

In response to escalating concerns over the significant health and economic risks of iGaming, a new coalition of leaders in the gaming and entertainment industries has formed the National Association Against iGaming.

Executives from Churchill Downs Incorporated, Monarch Casino & Resort, and The Cordish Companies are among the leaders of the National Association Against iGaming. The group claimed to have been founded in opposition to the growth of online gaming and the well-documented social and economic risks associated with it.

The National Association Against iGaming, in particular, claims that legalizing online casinos cannibalizes the profits of land-based casinos and results in lower tax contributions, job losses, and hundreds of millions of dollars in lost economic output. Concerns about player protection, including increased rates of addiction, are also mentioned by the group.
