National Lottery funding of £100,000 will be used to alleviate isolation in the Strabane district.

The National Lottery Community Fund has granted nearly £100,000 to organizations that are uniting individuals in the Strabane vicinity. The announcement arrives as part of a declaration of more than £6 million in funding to support over 140 organizations in Northern Ireland. These organizations aim to assist individuals with the increasing cost of living, enhance their mental well-being, and foster social relationships. A total of 11 collectives within the broader Strabane area will benefit from this financial support, with grants varying between £8,000 and £10,000. The groups are situated in Artigarvan, Drumlegagh, Killeter, Plumbridge, and Victoria Bridge.
