The esports league joint ventures between Take- Two interactive and the National Basketball League (NBA), the NBA 2K League, announced it disqualified multiple players and one coach over breaches of the gambling and fantasy rules.

On Thursday, the NBA 2K League disqualified players indefinitely from Mavs Gaming, Jazz Gaming as well as Blazers Gaming. In total, the league disqualified six players. Blazer5 Gaming players who have been disqualified by the NBA 2K League include Marquis Gill, Christopher Lafantte, Dorian Earl Miller and Robert Nastasi. Kimanni Ingram from Jazz Gaming was disqualified by the league as well as Zekirri Dennis of Mavs Gaming. Andrew Maxie, Blazers5 Gaming's coach was also disqualified by the NBA 2K League.
 
Disqualified?!. Is it an offense to be a multiple player?. Can you pls explain why is it an offense?. I thought multiple playing is when you are engaging with various games in a platform?.

Of course it's not a new thing, most sports operator commission that are known usually restrict their players from gambling.

It is a good practice under the normal professional etiquette. Because the players are also stakeholders on the platform, their participation could always manipulate result in their favors.

Even I think football players especially all those European footballs and coaches are all restricted from participating in any act of gambling

Ah!, do you know I don't even bet on any matches on European league. Most of the matches are full of fixing. They pre-determined the result long before they are played.

Really? I don't think anybody can actually fix any European league. Don't you know UK is also in Europe, maybe you just don't know European countries. EPL game that you play in sport betting is part of European league and i don't think anybody has the effrontery to fix EPL matches

They are well fixed. Most sports stakeholders especially the bookmakers targeted the European league. This they in connivance with sports authorities. They used this to fix their odds.

Has this actually happened, how long has it been since this, the NBA 2K League, in conjunction with Take-Two Interactive and the NBA, disqualified several players and a coach for violating rules related to betting and fantasy. Among those disqualified are players from teams such as Mavs Gaming, Jazz Gaming and Blazers Gaming, making a total of six players. Blazers5 Gaming coach Andrew Maxie was also disqualified, highlighting the importance of strictly following the rules in professional esports competitions.
