Nebraska lawmakers move forward with a bill to regulate gaming.

Nebraska's lawmakers are backing a bill led by Sen. John Lowe, to tighten rules on skill gaming machines. The bill passed with a unanimous vote of 31-0.

Skill games, found in various places, have grown in popularity, raising concerns due to their addictive nature.

The proposed law includes a 5% tax on machine profits and a $100 fee per machine for distributors, with larger distributors paying $5,000 for 50 or more machines.
