Nebraska man under investigation for lottery fraud

An inquiry is underway into allegations of lottery fraud against a man who won $300,000 on a scratch card he obtained from the convenience store he currently manages last month.

The money the suspect won—which totaled $213,000 after taxes—was seized by the Nebraska Department of Revenue this week thanks to a search warrant obtained.

His bank then produced a cashier's check for slightly less than $128,800 in response. Approximately $84,200 short.
