The question of online sports betting is being posed to Nebraska lawmakers once more.
A group of licensed operators in Nebraska has requested that the governor and legislators from all around the state discuss a possible bill pertaining to online sports betting, which has the potential to bring in an additional $30 million a year in revenue to offset property taxes. Legislation authorizing a constitutional amendment is being considered by lawmakers during a special session on July 25, according to Ho Chunk Inc., the parent company of WarHorse Gaming.
Voters would have the opportunity to decide the amendment's fate when it was put on the ballot in November.
