Neighbors in Manhattan are outraged by plans to establish a casino next to the United Nations building.

At a town hall in Midtown East, many residents strongly opposed the Soloviev Group's proposal for an underground casino near the United Nations.

The Freedom Plaza project, including a casino, hotel, shops, open space, and 500 affordable housing units, faced criticism with shouts of blood money.

The developers shared their plans at a public meeting hosted by state Sen. Kristen Gonzalez, attended by over 800 people at the NYU College of Dentistry on Thursday evening.
