Netherlands gambling authority issues warning over untargeted TV advertising

One of the Dutch Gaming Authority's online license holders has received a warning for breaking the rule against non-targeted advertising.

The untargeted advertising for online gambling was outlawed in July of 2023. The sponsorship of programs and events was added to this legislation as of July 1, 2024.

The purpose of these laws is to shield susceptible populations—like young adults—from the negative effects of gambling promotions.
