Netherlands Gambling Authority reveals new fine structure for 2025

The Netherlands Gaming Authority has announced a new fine policy, which will take effect on January 1, 2025, with the goal of establishing clearer standards for regulatory enforcement in the Dutch gambling business. The regulation establishes a systematic five-category system for infractions, with base fines ranging from $516 to $1.5million. The highest penalty tier is exclusively allocated for violators of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Act.
