Netherlands gambling regulator declares $325 deposit limit for gamblers aged 18-24

The Responsible Gaming Policy Rule, which was updated by the Netherlands' regulator, now requires deposits from players to be no more than $325 for those between the ages of 18 and 24 and $813 for those over 24.

Today, the Responsible Gaming Policy Rule was published in the Official Gazette of the Netherlands and went into effect right away. The agency did, however, clarify that some policies—such as the deposit limitations—will take effect on October 1. This is a result of the need to implement specific IT adjustments. Additionally, it will take time for operators to hire new staff members to manage the transition.
