Netherlands gambling regulator imposes binding instruction on DigitalOcean

DigitalOcean has been served with a legally binding order by the Dutch Gaming Authority to stop providing services to two illicit affiliate websites that are active in the Netherlands: nieuw-casinos.net and casinozonderregistratie.net.

It was discovered that the two websites were directing Dutch players to unlawful websites while promoting illicit games of chance. The binding instruction has been placed on DigitalOcean as the host provider.

If the binding instruction is not completed within the allotted four weeks, DigitalOcean may be subject to a follow-up sanction that may include a penalty or fine.
