Gaming authorities in Nevada are debating whether the state's gaming laws need to be changed in order to compensate some winners.
At its meeting, the Nevada Gaming Control Board decided that the Casablanca Resort and Casino in Mesquite had to give a player who had entered the casino illegally the $1,660 jackpot he had won on April 28. The $1,660 that the Mesquite resident won while playing a Dragon Link slot machine was attempted to be kept by Casablanca management.
In March 2011, he was banned from the casino for stealing a $1 beer. The casino claims that he has been physically removed from the property at least six more times.
