Nevada misses a step in tackling problem gambling

States all across the nation have been debating whether or not they have been doing enough as Problem Gambling Awareness Month approaches.

It's true that Nevada has lagged behind other states in mobilizing increased private and public efforts to combat problem gambling. In 2024, lawmakers have already committed to allocating $2.2 million for problem gambling; however, this amount might not be enough to achieve the primary goals of raising awareness and, more crucially, providing treatment services to those who are already experiencing difficulties.
