New Hampshire casino moves forward after legal win

It is now more likely that a proposed gaming establishment in Concord, New Hampshire, will be able to open after receiving a crucial court victory.

The 43,000-square-foot project had been the subject of numerous challenges in an unsuccessful lawsuit brought in Merrimack Superior Court by a local resident.

Concerns about traffic and the potential effects on the environment if the casino opened have also been raised by other locals. Some locals even go so far as to say that the gaming property would increase the risk of prostitution and illicit drug use.
