New Jersey sportsbook fined for offering bets on already-finished events

A since-closed sportsbook was punished by New Jersey gaming authorities for accepting wagers on sports games that had previously ended. After the results of athletic events were known, William Hill allowed betting on them. A number of Atlantic City casinos, notably Caesars, Harrah's, and Tropicana, owned by Caesars Entertainment, had sportsbooks run by William Hill. In the past, William Hill had a sportsbook inside Ocean as well.
