New Jersey tightens sport betting rules to ensure integrity in combat sports

Following the controversy surrounding a significant fight, the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board made revisions to its sports betting policy. The revised policy forbids anyone connected to combat sports from wagering on any combat sport, both domestically and internationally.

Although it is still permitted, employees must register with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement in order to bet on non-combat sports. Additionally, the new policy mandates that anyone under its jurisdiction report any suspected infractions of sports betting regulations right away.
