New Michigan lottery player wins $500,000 on first-ever ticket

Encouraged to play by his mother, a Michigan man who had never won the lotto won $500,000 on his first attempt. Anybody can consider turning 21 to be a significant milestone, but for one new lottery player, turning 21 and winning $500,000 made the day one he'll never forget. Choosing to stay anonymous, a Livingston County man won $500,000 on his very first lottery ticket.
