New Netherlands gambling bill could be proposed to prioritize protection of youth against addiction

By the end of 2025, a new gambling bill is expected to be presented to the House of Representatives, marking a significant shift in the Netherlands' gambling policy.

A new gambling bill that prioritizes a new vision of prevention and protection over individual responsibilities will be proposed by the conservative coalition government in the Netherlands.

Given that players under the age of 24 are the most vulnerable to gambling risks, the mandate places a high priority on protecting them.

Additional regulations will be implemented to prevent illegal online gambling by Dutch consumers and to seal off vulnerabilities that black-market operators take advantage of.
