New research reveals Irish people against gambling ban

Ireland Thinks has done research on behalf of Lottoland as the Gambling Regulation Bill 2022 nears its final stages in Ireland. The goal of this research is to demonstrate to the Irish Government that the public is opposed to more regulations.

Less than a third of the 1,387 respondents to the survey were aware of the new laws from the government, and 66% of them gambled in some capacity.

Of those who bet now, 19% would look for other ways to gamble should gambling become illegal in Ireland. These findings are consistent with a recent investigation that discovered several other nations have seen an increase in the black market.
