New South Wales implements gambling harm minimization tactics

New South Wales's government has formally put new gambling harm reduction policies into place as part of its continuing efforts to lower the state's rates of problem gambling.

All of the town's bars and clubs are now subject to a number of new regulations that are intended to assist those who are at risk of harm from gambling.

As per the announcement, establishments housing over 20 gaming machines must now designate a responsible gambling officer. The announcement made it clear that the officer had to remain on duty during the operation of the machines.

I think the South Wales authorities are making the right moves in the gambling sector. They are not persecuting the operators but regulating it fairly to make it safe for everyone.
