New UK player safety measures set to take effect

The UK Gambling Commission's light-touch financial vulnerability checks are going into force today.

These inspections are a component of new UK regulations designed to increase player safety.

Customers of online gambling sites with a net monthly deposit of more than £500 will be subject to the checks, which were first announced in May. That amount is going to be £150 in February.
