New York City has launched a voluntary self-exclusion assistance program.

The Responsible Play Partnership (RPP) in New York State has introduced a fresh and voluntary support initiative known as the Self-Exclusion Program. This program aims to aid individuals in overcoming their gambling habits.

By willingly participating in self-exclusion, players are effectively barred from engaging in any form of legal gambling within the state of New York, whether online or at licensed establishments. As a result, the program empowers the dedicated personnel at the NYCPG to assist players in understanding the self-exclusion procedure and guiding them through the necessary paperwork.

Additionally, NYCPG staff members can facilitate connections between individuals and problem gambling treatment providers, ensuring that these individuals receive the counseling, peer support, and recovery services they require. Importantly, the NYCPG operates within the framework of the New York State RPP, with support from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports and the New York State Gaming Commission.
