The New York State Gaming Commission has recently unveiled a groundbreaking initiative aimed at safeguarding players throughout the state. In collaboration with the Responsible Play Partnership, the New York Council on Problem Gambling, and the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports, they have established a voluntary self-exclusion registry.
This innovative program empowers individuals to proactively ban themselves from engaging in any form of gambling. Once added to the register, participants will be prohibited from entering any gambling establishments statewide and from partaking in any gambling activities, including online sports betting.
James Maney, the Executive Director of NYCPG, expressed the organization's commitment to assisting those in need by removing obstacles and providing compassionate support. He emphasized the program's effectiveness in addressing the concerns of individuals seeking help by leveraging convenient online notary services and offering guidance from knowledgeable staff members.
