Cheating ain't good for no poker game, that's for sure. When folks find out a cheater's operating, that game will fold up quicker than a bad hand. See, poker surviving on trust. Trust that the cards are fair, trust that your opponents are playing straight. Soon as that trust gets shattered by a marked deck or loaded dice, the fun's over.

Good poker thrives on fairness and honest competition. Whispers of cheaters scare off recreational players, and pro's won't bother coming to a game where their skills don't matter. The only one benefitting from cheating is the cheat himself, stuffing his pockets with purloined winnings. But like all bad actions, cheating's bound to catch up to a fella eventually. Best keep the games legit if you want 'em going strong. That's the real secret to success.

Cheating is not good for all gambling activities with poker inclusive. Cheating is a criminal offence which is punishable under the gambling code. The offender when found guilty would be convicted and likely ban from any gambling events. The personal disgrace that would be meted out to him is enough to tarnish his reputation.
