NFL doles out suspensions to four more betting violators

Three players have received one-year penalties from the NFL for placing bets on NFL games in violation of the league's rigorous gambling policy. Another was given a six-game ban for placing bets on non-NFL games while at a club. There is still at least one more Detroit Lions player who has not been named or suspended. The NFL is still looking into his situation. In April, five additional players, including four from the Detroit Lions, were suspended for breaking league regulations. The league office's initial round of suspensions ended there.
